Nintendo Switch Lite Coral + Travel Bag & Accessories

I am not a gamer. I had a Playstation 1 when I was younger but it’s not something I’ve ever been REALLY into. Having spent 8 weeks at home in isolation, I was looking for things to fill some of my time. That’s when I found out about the Nintendo Switch.

I particularly liked the look of the Switch Lite. They were available in yellow and turquoise and Nintendo were just about to launch the coral version – that sold it for me. I loved the colour and I wanted to give this game I’d heard so much about a try.

A few minutes of play and I was hooked. It’s been such a great distraction during lockdown, and a little reward to myself when I’ve finished a day of working from home. I’ve been loving it so much that I’ve looked into different accessories I can buy to give it that personal touch.

I decided I needed a screen protector (because I’m clumsy and didn’t want to scratch or damage the screen). I came across a kit on Amazon which included the screen protector, a microfibre cloth and a clear grip-case – a great deal!

Now for things that make it look a bit cuter… I’d seen lots of thumb covers for the buttons on eBay and Amazon. I’ve ordered these cute paw print ones – can’t wait for them to arrive. I was also searching for some sort of case or storage bag that I could keep the console in so that it doesn’t get damaged.

When I saw this one on eBay it had to be mine. It has pink grained leather, with a grey felt casing. There are magnetic buttons, and D rings to attach either a wristlet strap or a cross-body strap (both of which came with the bag). It was only £17! But it came from China, I was expecting it to take months to arrive, but it only took a couple of weeks.

Definitely very different to my luxury purchases, but one that’s been bringing me joy nonetheless.
